It looks like a German Büssing or a French Latil, which leads me to agree with the others it's a walter.

I'll would try OSHKOSH...but then again, maybe Walter/Maxim 1954 model..

It's unanimus, even Mike W who had to talk himself out of Oshkosh. This Navy crash truck is a 1954 Walter 4x4 with Maxim fire apparattus. The photos are from the Fire Trucks at War website, and are all the same truck. Bill White had this 1st.
