Pictures of Macks, Autocars, Petes, KW are great and plentiful. But as for me, I like the less common big trucks of the 30s, 40s, and 50s. I would like to propose a new photo section where we could all post our photos of these rare trucks. There have been so many pictures posted on this page over the years. With this new heading they could all be in one place. What makes to include? I would start with Moreland, Kleiber, Cook Brothers, Fageol, Maxi, Knuckey, Ibex, Coleman, Dart, Cline, Hendrickson, Available, Lemoon, Sterling, FWD, Oshkosh, Hug, Indian, Marmon Herrington, Duplex, Gottfredson, Clydesdale, Biederman, Ward Lafrance, Walter. I am sure there are others I have left out. Go ahead and name them. But I think you the the idea. These are the makes that didn't make big sales or become marquee names, but were well known to truck buffs as bigged rugged vehicles. Some, like Oshkosh, are still around but were specialty makes. But all were interesting and worth remembering.

Sounds like a good idea to me and I think you may be just the person to start it going.

How about posting the pictures after they have been shown in Jeff L.'s "WAI"? That keeps WAI interesting.

I did not realize that us users could post to the research library. Is there an improvement that could be made to thow the pictures in the research library are displayed? Could they be displayed as pictures on a pags like they are on Hanks, instead of file names.

But just like any site you have to enter that info before others can see it. Heres a screen shot of one that has that info listed. Unforunately there is no way to display them as thumbnails instead of file names at this time but that may change in the future.

What a great idea! Is anyone still considering this proposal?

Jules Stay tuned for changes in the Research Library. We hired a programmer to eliminate it's login, which we'll start testing after the convention. That will allow us to create a menu with links to each section, manuals and other reference materials, photos by make, etc. It will also make it much easier to upload photos into the area designated for each trucker. We have the new files to test this. After we prove it works more functionality will be added.
