Been in the house due to the recent snow storm and decided it was time to sort through and organize 50 plus years of accumulated trucking literature and my files from 36 years with CF and Yellow. Came across this Cummins brochure. Anyone venture a date??? Also anyone have one of these in your "fleet" or have experience with them??

Cummins usually put a Bulletin Number and date on the back of any publication......

On the back of your attached horsepower page bottom right hand corner it has "15M 4-50" ...so I would hazard a guess that dates that brochure at 1950.....but not 100% sure.

Newto: Thanks for the sharp eye, and you most certainly are correct. The NHRS 600 (320 hp) came out in 1949, which corroborates your answer. I was 3 years old in 1950 and I can't figure out how I didn't remember this.

I'm a 1953 model so that was going to be my excuse if I was wrong.....

I actually got flown down to Tasmania by Cummins way back in the 70's to spend 6 months completely reconditioning 6 x NHRS engines that were used as pump and winch engines on a Bass Straight Oil Rig.......I still have the H NH Shop Manual dated 6/73 that I was given so that I had all the specs on hand to do the job.

Very solid no frills engines.......glad I could be of help.
