Agreed, Big, Cool, MH. Wouldn't I like to come across one of those in a local barn in pristine condition.

Yep, MH.  We have had this photo posted some time back.  Any one know what this truck was built to haul?

I don't know Dean, maybe pipe or well casing? the posts say long bulk material and the hoist looks like it would reach the center to unload in the field.

No doubt about it. M/H. Guessing pipe or castings of some sort as well. Tough-looking unit. Or,as Carl B. might say, very truckly.

I'll say Biederman just to shoot the moon.  Those outriggers are intriguing, it would be great to see what it was made for.

Notice the little cowl light peeking over the spare tire.  Speaking of spare tire, still wondering how to get the spare off and back on up there....

Whatever its intended purpose was, it was built for the military. Notice the grille guard, hood registration numbers and of course the driven front axle.

I am at work so I do not have Fred's book handy to look up this model!!!!!

Will go with the military M-H. Those bolsters and outriggers look too heavy for pipe or poles so it would be neat to find out what??
