1962-63 Marmon-Herrington, one of the 25 (or 22) built right before the Pritzker family took over and shortened the name to Marmon. Likely to have a 1673 Caterpillar. Could be as early as 1961 if its a prototype. Might be one of the Dorn units if my memory is any good, as well, as I believe they're units were single-axle sleeper cabs. Notably, its also the only production Marmon-Herrington truck that did not come with four-wheel drive/ all-wheel drive.

Troy.

Not merely a Marmon, but a Marmon-Herrington HDT. This truck is a production model built in 1962 or '63. Prototypes and early production models had a wrap around windshield. Troy is right about the powerplant too, this one had Cat power. Troy, I have some different production numbers. According to "The Marmon Heritage", following completion of the field test program some 45 to 50 Model HDT-1 tractors had been built at the M-H plant in Indianapolis in 1962-63, and at the time of the sale parts were on hand or in-process to assemble 15 additional units. It appears these parts were used to assemble the first Marmon built truck in Denton Texas in March of 1964. Brian Kelly had this 1st. Thanks to Don MacKenzie for the b&w photo, and Bill White for the color pic of Don Chew's 1963 HDT, the only known Marmon-Herrington HDT survivor.
