not to worry.. I checked carefully. The box was plain jane Isspro box, no IH logo,, only the invoice had one, and it aint ridin in the truck. If it had even had a cornbinder part# on it, I woulda had to take it back.... I was raised in the green things...

Kid,
Be careful now that you put farmall parts on it. If it migrates towards freshly plowed ditches you'll know.

Well, went to farmall, picked up the proble for a whole $30. Works just fine now. The old one would never get past 2.2mV (+- 130*). The new one idles between 180-200*, goes right on up when you get into it. Funny how the IH dealer can sell it to ya less than the manufacturer... guess its the way to keep the dealer in business..
btw, for those interested... the Isspro proble puts out about 0.020mV per * , thats real close. So you can trubleshoot accordingly..

John, I hadn't had one bad until now, either. Hasnt worked since I got it. # other people told me they have to replace them every couple years.. but they do work em hard. (not that I didnt heat em up any..lol). I'm watchin ebay too, thx.
JC, yep, isspro direct website. KW in Reno is no more, and, you aint never been to our Pete dealer...geez, almost as vad as Cummins. I might have to break down and go by the farmall store. They're usually decent to me, and the (gawd) Mack dealer supports our club, so may ask them too.. I'll probably be up in Reno Mon or Tues anyway..

Kid (6/18/2011) I've got a NOS Isspro pyro R602, to replace the one with broken glass. Hooked it up, and never registered over 150*. Troubleshot the durn thing, wires test good, and pyro is new, tested the probe and it never gets over 2.5mV , whcih equals about 140* , so the probe is bad, and from what I've heard, they go bad quite often,, like every 2 years of real working.
I can find a replacement full retail at ISSPRO (55-60$), but does anybody know where I can get one a little more reasonable? I looked st summitracing, but they only do BullyDog and Autometer. None on ebay w/o buying a dual pyro (although I thought about it). Got any sources that can be found easy?
Kid,
Where did you get that retail price, direct from Isspro ?.Hit a KW or Pete dealer, they move a good volume of Isspro product and usually get and give decent pricing.John

Kid.....If your not in a hurry, I'd keep an eye on Ebay. I'm sure i have seen 'em on there cheaper than that.
Lasting only two years ?? I must have been dang lucky over the years..........I can't remember EVER replacing one ( keep in mind " ICRS " LOL )
I won't have to worry about it anyway.......My new big, green, clean burning, environmentally friendly, over-sized Hewlett- Packard doesn't have a pyrometer....NOT available
