You can't fool Jules today, nor anyone who followed him. This is a Type-08 Air Force crash truck built by Hurst Industries arounf 1950. It had a 6x6 chassis built by Kenworth. It was very similar to the Type-07 crash truck built by Hurst the same year. These trucks used a 1090 ci gas 6 cylinder which turned out 296 hp (this sounds like a Hall Scott 440 Invader). !st truck below is the Type-08, 2nd is the Type-07. Thanks to Bill White for the photos.

Is the bolt-on radiator tank with at KW front a standard KW radiator for the period?  I never saw a KW bolt on before.

Bruce, it looks to me like the only thing KW supplied was the chassis - and, the emblem !
