Who knew they had the What Am I way back in 1953 ? Don't bother writing, just post your answer below. This neat ad is from Edgar Browning. The attachment will open larger.

I'll say Republic or Rapid, which morphed into GMC.

Most everyone had the right idea on this 1918 truck. Sternberg became Sterling in 1916, so our vintage WAI had only carried the Sterling name for a few years. By the time this ad came out in 1953 White had bought Sterling, and the name changed to Sterling-White. Unfortunately Sterling-White would not survive the year, as White also owned Autocar and it was decided that both these trucks appealed to the same market and buyers. Thanks to Edgar Browning for this wonderful ad. Eddy Lucast had this 1st. Eddy, did some of that Sterling mojo rub off on you this weekend while moving Ken's Sterlings around ?
