I'll have a guess at a 1939 3 ton heavy duty Dodge, with Metropolitan or Montpelier COE cab.

All you Hug Luggers, give yourselves a big hug (or find someone to help !) This truck is a 1939 Hug Model HC, also known as the Hug Lugger. Hug was best known for it's off highway construction trucks, but by the late '30's they had tried out some highway models too, including several different COE versions. I don't think any of these were too successful. That's a shame as this Lugger model was quite attractive and was even better looking than most other COE's of the day. This was pretty much Hug's last gasp at the highway market, and a failure to win any big wartime contracts forced Hug out of business in 1942. Total Hug production from 1921 was 14014 units, 50 of which were trailers. Brian Kelly had this 1st; thanks to Dan Souday for the photo.
