The older trucks don't always generate many responces (but I still like them best) so here is something newer, and BIGGER ! Another one From Eddy, emblems removed.

If I remember correctly a 16V-92 Detroit. It was a cold day in January and they were trying to get it started... I was hauling a section of Goldhoffer for it to tow.

I don't know what it is but I'm sure that if they got it started that the next problem they had was seeing where they were going with it. Like my trucks this one probably has bugs on the back windows instead of the front! Mike

Looks like S series cab lights, but S series didn't have a split windshield.

The truck is still used, I'm sure... It is a prime mover and gets shipped around the country where it is needed. I saw it in Illinois. Barnhart crane of Memphis was useing it but it wasn't theirs. I don't know who owns it. Barnhart has a bunch of prime movers (Pacific, KW's and a bunch of ex Military stuff) but they needed something bigger! They had to biuld their own road and bridge for part of the trip as Illinois wouldn't let them on some of the smaller roads. I think it was going to be moveing 1M lb load, if I remember... from the river (barge) to a plant just a mile or so inland. I didn't get to see the move, but I understand that the Goldhoffer had over 220 axles under it. Illinois sent a DOT cop to inspect it before they would allow the move... Took him all day and they found 2 brakes out of adjustment! I wish I had the chance to see it. I've moved their KT powered Pacific and the Detroit powered KW and Military trucks, but didn't get to move this one... I think it came out of TX. I may be wrong but I think the cab is wider then the standard S series cab... May be split down the middle and some added in.

Geoff was all over this one, this is a 1983 Hendrickson with a 16V71. All I know about it is what the caption says, so Geoff has already told far more than I could.

Here's the original pic.

Haveing "layed my hands" on the truck, I suppose I should have excused myself from answering on this one. I mostly have no clue when it comes to WAI, I just couldn't sit on my hands once I saw the picture. After I pressed "post" it was too late to go back.
