I have it bad! I need to get the sun visor off the shaker and have it rechromed. I always thought they were stainless. Nope, it's chrome. It looking pretty bad if you get high enough to see it. From the ground it looks good.

I'm waiting for warmer weather to paint the Acar. I hope to stay in one piece this summer to get after it.

If it doesn't have two sticks, you might as well drive an automatic

Yeah I am going bonkers here too.  Had my ACL replaced last week, so I am stuck on the couch for a couple of months.  It is killing me since I am watching all these shows about rebuilding old cars, trucks, tractors, etc and I so want to get into the shop and start working on my 46 and the 43.

Soon Summer will be here and the weather will be like 110, so another season will pass.

CRAZY.

I've got it pretty bad, tempted to just brave the slush and get going on my truck again. The trouble is I have so much work to do when it comes to running my websites and small design company! I did manage to change out the plugs, cap and rotor on my GMC over the last week, just need to do brakes and valve cover gaskets and I should be good to go for this summer.

Ok Folks Cabin Fever has also become Shop Fever. Where I am I'm used to having the shop doors open most of the time during the winter, this time it's different. I've moved my toy Pete and my project KW inside since the weather stinks. I've even turned the heat on in the shop. Now I feel like a prisoner. Business has been slow so I have plenty of time to work on the project KW but I find myself gong into the office where the windows are, just to see what sun if any is out there. After work it's home and the bedroom where the wood stove and computer is, to see what's going on on the Forum. All the kids (4) are married and a big house sits empty. No need heating it all so we have moved into the bedroom with table etc. where we pretty well live now. A cold beer or 2 before eating. I have been going through the show time edition from Huntsville every night for a few weeks now and every night find another truck that somehow I missed on previous reads. It really is amazing how many different and interesting trucks were on display in Huntsville. Some trucks that may not have grabbed my attention before are now trucks that I have to have. People on the forum that had trucks there  that I didn't know, are now the people who I have many questions for. I guess Cabin Fever isn't all that bad if you put it to good use. Can't wait for Spring and the Truck Show circuit to begin.

Not sure the Freightliner frame will mate up to your KW frame. The Freightliner frame is narrower.

Michelle, I think I might be able to slide the Freightliner frame rails inside of the KW rails, I have heard of a few guys doing this, although the freightliner rails will be taller, so not sure how they addressed that problem. Maybe Henry (Hank's 61) will chime in, I think he said that they did something similar on one of their projects. I really want to be able to use that frame and rears as I already have them in my backyard!.............Doug:D

A bit late on the chime Doug. Yeah we used freightliner frame to double frame on a Kenworth frame. I have seen the slide in bolt together strech. They do it that way in Mexico and Central America. Measure things up. Looks like you have airliner suspension. The newer mid 90s Freightliner frames should be about the same size to cut and weld.

The frame on top is the freightliner frame before we took things apart to glove it inside.

someday we'll get it going

Well, snow emergency in effect till Friday at least, permit runs out tomorrow, permit office closed, if they open Friday they will be 4 days behind, so good luck getting one by noon Friday witch brings us back to the curfew that got me here anyway. Couldn't take it any more, got home last night at 8.:D  435 miles home, used 40 gal. If I get a permit, I'll go back Monday and get my wagon.
