We're trying to dig out from a big blizzard here in Louisiana.  I was making good head way until my knees got cold.

Looks like you have the right equipment for it

I got a chance too talk with my insurance guy, been with them for 22 years and never filed a claim one with them and now he is telling me that it is unlikely they will cover it being the garage was not on the property when the policy was written. I guess it is time for a new garage, not really a good time for it, so i will have too wait for the 33 inches of the white snow too melt so i can start tearing it down, and try and salvage what i can. Luckily my Freightliner was parked by the house at this time or it would have crushed the cab. Spent most of the day with a shovel in my hand digging out the vehicles and the driveway, i injured my knee at work a while back, slipped on ice and just got back too work last Thursday so it really is acting up tonight, a couple shots of Jim beam and a muscle relaxer and it will feel better in the morning.

they talk about how much money the snow is costing per day trying to keep every thing open. I wonder why they are not saying how many BILLONS that have been saved by congress being  closed?

After 6 hours of digging out, I am LMAO at your southern blizzard. As soon as the Washington politicos return to work (whenever) you'll be getting some relief...

All I need is one more good deal and I'll be out of business.

I'll stick with the old and they can stick the new.

I am tired of it!!! It is always snow ice wind here, everu mile in between or there. Had to buy a shovel yesterday after the relief driver got stuck for the second time. I love diggn big trucks out. interstaes a sheet of ice cars and trucks everywhere but on the road. Road closures caused by someone loosing it on the ice. And International windshield wipers that DON'T.

There, I feel better now. Freezing rain for tonight and tomorrow. Snow on Saturday.

:w00t:  I'd never get nowhere if I was drivin' a truck, but that's truck drivin'.

Here in Yooperland, we had gotten quite a bit in december, than jan. got warm and rained a couple days, so that knocked it down quite a bit. Now it's gotten cold with very little snow for the last month or so. There is still a couple of feet of it, but it's harder than concrete and you can walk on it just about anywhere without needing snowshoes. I am sure we'll get some more before too long, but it's nice to get it in Jan. and Feb. and have it be gone by late march or mid april. Seen a few times in my four plus decades of life when we still had some in the woods during the first week of June! It seems to lead to an increase in the murder - suicide rates when that happens!:w00t:

We got about 28" here from the storm last Friday and Saturday, then another 4 " or so thru yesterday. Yesterday's came with 30 to 40 MPH wind gust so that made it kinda hard to measure. Sun's out this morning and supposed to be clear for the next 4 days, so I guess the next big "weather event" will be flooding. Glad I live at tha top of a hill.
