I agree. STOUGHTON. However Stoughton did not begin building trucks until 1920. I believe this is a later Model B; 1925 or 1926.

| Don, This is from Coach Built, Fridtjof, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and his brother, Martin M.J. Vea, embarked on the manufacture of the Stoughton Motor Truck, an assembled truck designed by Fred Crebben Jr. which debuted in 1919. Available with 1-, 1½-, and 2-ton chassis priced between $1,995 and $2,995, the truck created some initial interest and was available with factory-built flatbed, stake, van, and bus bodies. I think as you do on the year of the WAI Truck that it is a later model. Bill

| You guys just amaze me sometimes. Not only is everyone right on such a rare truck, but you also questioned (correctly I might add) the year of this 1926 Stoughton, which in some places is incorrectly given as 1919. This particular Stoughton is part of the collection at the Hays Museum in California, which you can visit while at the convention in Pleasanton this summer. According to Mroz, Stoughton trucks were built from 1 to 4 tons from 1920 to 1928. Perhaps the 1st truck was built in 1919 as a '20 model ? Bill White had this 1st; thanks to Dan Souday for the photo.
