I have tracked down dozens and dozens of parts needed for the restoration of my 79 Pete 359 extended hood restoration. Many with the help of fellow ATHS members.

Right now, I am looking ahead, and still need the following items:

1) A new unused front rubber floormat with Peterbilt emblem for a 359. I have a brand new unused Pete mat for a little window truck from the '60s for partial trade (it has a little age cracking). Yes, I know "nobody has one of these." But I am sure that someone out there has one of these. I just haven't met them yet.

2) The 4 aluminum horn pedestals that go on top of the roof. Peterbilt has steel 1/4" screws that thread into aluminum castings up there, in a wet area, and inevitably the screws break when you try to take the horns off. We have 1 good one, about a dozen with the stud broken off in them, and just need 3 more. We've already tried, but ruined the nicest broken ones with a drill and a screw extractor.

3) A complete hood wiring harness for a circa '75-'87 359 hood. A used one is fine, if it is not all hacked up. The harness plugs in at the firewall, travels inside the frame, sneaks out between the frame and the radiator shroud, and goes into the hood. It carries the circuits for the headlights, fog lights, marker, and turn signals. I am not 100% certain on this, but because only 8 inches separates a long hood from a short hood, I imagine that Peterbilt uses only one length harness. All the hood harnesses contain the same wires, regardless of if they have fog lights or not, or even mirror mounted turn signals. My harness, and the other two we have, are cut by the hood hinge. I need one that is still complete.

Any help or leads would be appreciated, thanks!
