Cooter you have got yourself one sweet KW there !John, I got a deal on the illuminated tip factory toggle switches, bought 12 of them new in amber, green and red for 20 bucks a piece. The amber one has a K301-100 part number. Green tip is K301-93-S and red tip is K301-99-S. All of them are manufactured in Mexico. Some of them read Carling Technologies or Carling Switch printed on the body in white ink.

Thanks guys for the comments. Took 2 years of blood sweat and tears! There are a few things i would do different but I am pretty happy with it. Have not had it on the road yet so I am sure there will be some bugs to work out. FYI 290 Cummins, 15 speed OD - original Engine/trans. Factory single axle tractor that someone converted into a dump right before I bought it. Managed to get the original fifth wheel and convert it back. Truck was bought local and pulled hay most of its life. It never left a 50 mile radius of me. Came with all the manuals, service records, and original KW order and bill of sale. John - JB is right on with the switches, The indicator lights I have no idea - no markings on any I salvaged - I even asked at KW and they wouldn't tell me(imagine that). Mike- Those are Buyers boxes(those are seconds - friend of mine got them for me cheap but wouldnt buy them again) salvaged some KW grip steps that matched mine and shortened them up(cut off the rusty ends)from junkyard finds and made new step brackets for the battery box and copied them for the buyers boxes. Same thing with the handles on the rear cab tire rack - scrounged until I found a couple handles that matched mine on the cab. I will try to add a couple pictures of the inside of the cab/dash later today.

John That is a great price. That one appears to be non-illuminated. But if a person had some toggles with the color lens it would not be hard to lite them and have new contacts.

Thanks.Got a feeling KW, and NAPA, will go obsolete on those once the stock is gone.Carling isnt showing that style anymore. http://switches.carlingtech.com/index.asp John

What is the NAPA part number you are looking for? I can look for availability very easily.

The Carling switches are pretty much interchangeable. The stud mount toggles from Paccar, Volvo, etc, can lend their terminal housing side and internals, and lust add the front from the KW switch. I have rebuilt many this way, they are pretty easy tear apart and get back together. I needed a couple of the big square rockers for cruise control, so I took the proper ones from a wrecked late model Peterbilt and swapped out the fronts. I have also used grain-of-wheat of grain-of-rice bulbs from the model train store to repair the little cubes, juts make sure to get 14V or they can be blinding. A small single LED should work as well. If anyone is interested, I have a listing of all the cubes with part numbers and legends KW used, and a list of switch usage with part numbers. If so, I will try to get someone to post it for me. Dialup sucked before, and the connection gets worse every day. Good Luck.Tony

I recieved these from Tony this morning.Pretty handy info, kinda neet to read the indicator list and see what some of the options were by reading the functions.Still trying to figure a few out, like the one labled pyro.Never heard of a high pyro warning, or an on/off switch for a pyro.Hmmm.Few other odd ones like " trailer fan " and " rear window ".Thanks again Tony.John
