Bruce n' Jason,

I'm late posting  ...lost use of 'puter for about 3 days  ....poor timing.

Many, many thanks to both for all your help.  Too bad the weather ganged up on ya.

Bruce, well ya got a good war story out of all that hard n' cold work.  I can imagin that 100+ MILES OF UNPLOWED TWO LANE(o000PS) was a real challenge and as you said trailer brakes R always good to have.  Very glad you didn't have serious trouble.

Your are most welcome to use OL" Blue, Bruce.  Hope you have a few jobs for him to help you with on the farm. Good fotos, glad you got them and posted for all to see!

Jason, know you didn't have far to drive, but the 1st snow is always B4 I'm conditioned to the cold so know you both had tough conditions.

Both of you check yor e-mails.  Let me know what we need to settle up on this deal.  Hope to meet you both @ South Bend.

Made toTogo on Saturday,  the drive home was pretty difficult through the snow,  but I made it.  Nice little truck,  8600 miles showing.  It seems to be all there,  even has a factory radio. We will have to get it running a fix the brakes so I can get some use before Orrin takes iit away.  Bruce

Well, after many e-mails and fone calls to Jason Long and Bruce Setter plus Ron, owner, of OL" Blue the '52 Ford F6(what Jason, said it is) w/ 3yd dump box, have verything set for loading early tomorrow AM(Thursday).

Jason told bruce about a good parking spot of tonight and Bruce should have it home after getting finishing out his load in Fargo and then home St Paul.

With some added brake fluid and a bit of pumping, Jason, said there were brakes and that the emergency brake also functions.  The battrey Ron put in wasn't fully charged and Ol' blue failed to start after being haul out from behind the barn.  Discovered the real fact was it "ran when parked", fine!!! ...just found out it was parked 9-10 yrs ago!  Nice and clean inside, straight-6 and all glass is intact, only 203 small cracks, no rust on body nor in dump box.  Good blue paint with a bit of fading.

Hope, bruce will be able to post a foto or 3 of OL' Blue, soon!

Looking forward to hearing it made the trip in good shape and that the loading went smooth!

Bruce and Jason, many, many thanks for all your hard work.  Hope you enjoy the adventure and had some fun as well.

Nice to see we have members in MN participating on the forum and that they can get the truck closer to Orrin.  Hope to meet you someday, maybe at our MN Metro chapter show or a threshing show.

Hibbing has the Greyhound museum, several buses and memorabilia.  To tie this post to another recent posting, the big storm in the US this week had its center right about over Togo.  The lowest barometric reading* in US history was just recorded in that region yesterday.

With a dumpbox that truck may weigh around 10-12,000 lbs, about 20-24 feet long.  Good luck with your Bighorn, Bruce.

Bruce O.
