We need a bit of a challenge here, so we will try this one from the backside. Emblem removed.

I agree with Park - Federal.  (I think the trailer was an early one to use vertical landing gears, especially in the east)) Glee

Those trailer connections are interesting.  Were air pressure gladhands the same as modern design in these early years?  Or are these vacuum?  Also, where are they mounted - on the frame crossmember or back of cab?

Also I see the air tank mounted cross ways.  White did that on my two semis, I was wondering if other makes mounted crossways and if there were any twisting problems with that.

Most everyone had this, with Bill White the 1st with the correct answer. This truck is a '35-'37 Federal, and it is one of the heavier models built during this time,. This truck also features Federal's new Deluxe cab, which Federal would use all the way through the '40's. The standard cab at this time was slightly smaller, less styled, and featured a single pane windshield. This Federal was a very attractive and modern looking truck for the time. This photo is another one from the Life Magazine Collection, taken in 1942.
