I would stongly advise useing the OEM Ingersol-rand check. Unlike most valves, in this application you needed it to hold for possably weeks at a time with 0 leakage. The I-R valve will hold better then just about any other I have tried. Goggle Air Starter Componants ( ASC)out Stafford, TX (I think). Good people to do business with for Air-start parts.

I have noticed that the checks do better the more the pressure drop is across the valve. SO, When I'm shutting down, I always bleed the air off the tank drains a bit, Not only does this help the valve seat, but makes sure you are not passing moisture on to the start tank.

Do not, add a 2nd check, I have found that when two checks are used in tandem, the pressure across them is almost the same and they tend to leak off more then if a single, high quality check is used... Just some things I learned the hard way.

No need to google, just look under "starters" in the air/electric section of Parts and Services for ASC and a few others.Geoff is talking about this valve  http://www.ingersollrandproducts.com/IS/Product.aspx-am_en-29010  John
