hello there. My name is Ed & I just talked w/a friend who called my attention to a note/follow up you posted on ATHS Forum @ the odometer question.

FYI - I have a '72 KW 925 w/a Cummins 350 & a Spicer 5x4 - and - an '81 Peterbilt 362 - a total monster of a truck! Both of which are for sale. I have
clear title to each. Let me know if either or both might be of interest to you.

Thx - be happy, healthy and stay vertical!

If your looking at a 30+ year old truck, mileage is a non issue. Your going to have to assess condition and not rely on mileage.
Electronic speedo's came in during the early 80's, if the truck you are looking at has a cable driven speedo, it may have been changed or the cable may have been broken for many miles, leaving whether it has "turned over" moot.
The Prestolite treckstar unit in my IHC's actually has a millions digit that is covered up, it was made that way for KM's, on trucks north of the boarder the extra digit was uncovered (by a larger window).

Hi,

My wife and I are on the hunt for a 359 Pete or W900A for a fun truck. If records are sketchy or not available to verify mileage (especially since we are dealing with 30 plus year old rigs), any tips on what to look for?

Thanks
