I am working on a 1928 Selden chassis fire engine. It has a Brown - Lipe transmission and multi-disc clutch. The clutch needs to be rebuilt so I need to remove it from the input shaft of the transmission. I have removed the large nut in the center of the clutch that would appear to hold it to the input shaft. I made a puller to pull on the back of the clutch pack while pushing on the input shaft of the transmission but nothing will budge. It is like something else is still holding the clutch pack to the input shaft but I cant see what it would possibly be. Does anyone have an idea on how this clutch comes off the input shaft? I am also looking for someone capable of rebuilding the clutch somewhere near the Detroit area. The photo attached I found on the internet and appears to be the same as my clutch.
