F= full tandem drive
T= tag axle
CO= cab over
D can be diesel or Double reduction depending on where the letter is in model number.
S= two speed axle

I was just wondering if there is anyone here that can clarify for me the differences between the International Harvester model prefixes LD, LFD, RD, and RDF. All of them were used during the 50s,and it seems that both of the designations that include the letter F were 3 axle versions. Other than that though I was unsure what the difference is between them were.

Thanks in advance!
