Does anyone know what the trailing "55" on a Waukesha "Model-6SRKR 55" might stand for? It seems too low for a h.p. rating. It is currently mounted in a 1939 Coleman G-55, but we are not sure if it is original, or a replacement. The standared engine for a G-55 in 1939 was a BUDA-L525.

Also, from the model number alone, it is possible to estimate the engine "build date"?

Thanks...
