I bought a 1975 Diamond Reo DC-10164 earlier this year. It has a 6V71 Detroit with a 5X3 trans behind it but I looked at the plate on the cab and it doesn't tell some specs like suspension and rear end ratio. Is there somewhere I can find this info? Or an easy way to figure it out? Also any help on finding parts and any other info I should know is greatly appreciated.

If you drop the driveshaft (rear rear on tandem) and look on the head of the pinion there will be a bunch of numbers and symbols, most are mfg or part numbers but one set will be the tooth count for the ring and pinion and expressed like 10-41 (4.10 ratio) divide the bigger by the smaller for the ratio.
A picture of the rear hub (axle shaft) I can guess at the axle capacity.
A picture of the center section should help tell if it is a Rockwell or Eaton.

Ok I sure appreciate it. I'll check it out as soon as I get a chance.
