This is similar to what your maybe thinking but the centre stripe isn't separate from the top roof paint.

Can't remember where I got the pic (Hanks ??) but kept it for the weird air intake arrangement.

Not many pictures of K-523s with that paint on the net. If it is a factory paint job, you can pretty much guarantee it went straight back just at the bottom of the door. Every Kenworth I've seen pictures of that had a separate color around the headlights was that way. (mostly K-100s)

This of course is a newer version of your paint scheme but the belt lines were all pretty much the same and all ran straight back.
