I was surprised to read that membership I.D. cards were so important to members. I don't take mine out of my wallet for a year, only to replace it with the new one, unless I am emptying my wallet, looking for something important. I've never been asked to produce my membership card at any ATHS event. It does not have any pre printed information when it's mailed to me, I have to fill it out. My membership number is installed in my computer and that, along with my name is all I need to remember when getting onto the website. If there is something I'm missing about the value of this item that is so costly to the organization, please tell me.

Mine goes directly in the garbage - there is no need for it at all.
