Would like to correspond with anyone familiar with, or might have orig. parts for, Trucks manufactured by the Transport Truck Co. of Mt. Pleasant, MI (1918-1925). Recently acquired a "partially" restored antique Transport Truck,(from Orofino, ID), possibly a 3 and 1/2 T or a 5 Ton flat bed with wooden spoke wheels. Not sure of the date of manufacture, supposed to be 1920, but have reason to believe it may be the heavier 5 T version, built in 1925, for it has a 170 in. wheel base, as opposed to the 150 in. wheel base for the 3 and 1/2 Tonner. The 4 cyl. Buda engine is an HTU model, (probably not the original power plant, for the Stromberg M2 carb. "linkage" had to be "rerouted"). It is missing both dash mounted "driver's lamps" so do not know what they look like. Likewise, do not know the crankcase engine oil capacity as the dip stick is missing. Would be interested in purchasing (or trading for) parts and/or Manuals for this Transport, especially the correct 4 cylinder Buda gas engine model YTU (of 32.4 hp).; have several unrestored trucks in the 20s, (27 Kleiber, 25 Republic, 22 Gary, 17 Pierce Arrow, etc. and dozens of cast iron wheels with SR tires, (150-700lbs.) and other vintage auto and truck parts. I'm a bit "Techno Challenged" and hope to be able to "navigate" this web site if someone responds to this posting, otherwise, my name is Ken and I can be reached at (541) 264-8346 after 5pm. Thank You!
