Has anyone repaired the roof of a 359 with a replacement fiberglass roof cap? I'm interested in how well these fit and the methond of attaching them.

Ragman, They attach with 3/16 huck bolts. Use body sealer in the lap. Wayne

Ragman, sorry to not say more as I thought we would get more from others. I have not done the fiberglass roof myself but it should fasten exactly like the metal one. 3/16 hucks are cheap but the gun is not. If this is a one time deal then check with Huck fastener dealers and rent one. Fastenal does not carry Huck products so I would go to the internet. I have rented Huck gun from OK fastener in Troy Ill. There is a dealer in Dallas and I am sure others around. I don,t know what part of the country you are located in. Hope this helps. Wayne

Byler Rivet supply online both rents guns and has a good website for this stuff. I just received a small box of fasteners from them today. Or rent a gun locally. ALWAYS USE A REGULATOR, and particularly when riveting fiberglass, fun the gun at the lowest necessary psi. 70 or certainly 75 should be enough to pull 3/16 steel hucks.
