You don't see these every day, and thank goodness for that ! This truck was auctioned a few years back.

Going with Bill on this.  AC or AK MACK.  Motor transplant required front mounted radiator.  Radiator could be STERLING with top tank cover removed.  No Comment on hood or transplant motor.

This is undoubtedly a Mack, and I would have to say a 1922-1926 AC. My notes say 1923. The AK, introduced in 1928, would have the later style fender (if we assume these fenders are original). Like many of the older AC's, this truck has been highly modified. The famous "Bulldog" hood is long gone, the radiator has been removed and a new front mounted radiator installed, along with a new hood.  No doubt the 4 cylinder engine has been replaced also with something larger. That radiator does resemble Sterling's, but I can't really be sure where it came from. Bill White had this 1st. Also below are blue 1924 AC (from Dan Souday) and a red 1922 model.

A similarly modified Mack AC was a WAI in '08, here. Forgottenhighway said it was modified by Sam Stone of Beacon Truck Wrecking in LA. All the pictures are from the Jim Wheeler Collection at Hank's, here. It looks like Lang had more than one of these.

John, I think Lang had several of these converted AC's. The upside-down front cross member seems to be a signature of sorts, but I can't tell if our WAI truck has it due to that big front bumper. Thanks for the photo and links.
